Description

The original Queens Hotel was designed by Charles Trubshaw, c.1841 - 1917, an architect specifically associated with railway buildings; the hotel was adjacent to Leeds' railway station. The Bedford Lemere daybook states that this photograph was taken for Midland Hotels, a company owning railway hotels constructed by the Midland Railway. The hotel was rebuilt in 1937.
