Description

A King's Head Hotel had been on this site since the early 18th century, although this hotel was later demolished at some point around the Second World War. The Bedford Lemere daybook records that the photograph was taken 'Seligman & MacKay', but it is unclear what this firm did. Their liquidation is later mentioned in the London Gazette, 19 April 1932.
