26 Grosvenor Square was built in the 1860s but was later demolished in the 20th century. The Bedford Lemere daybook records the names of Howard & Sons and the Duveen Brothers in relation to the interior design of the house. The photograph was commissioned by G A Cooper Esq (Sir George Cooper) who was living there at this time.
