Description

The background of the photograph has been cut away during the creation of the negative to leave the piano on a blank background, presumably so the image can be more simply reproduced in publicity materials. This photograph was commissioned by S and P Erard themselves, and may have been taken at their London showrooms, although this is not possible to verify.
