Description

Thornton Manor was the principal residence of William Hesketh Lever, Viscount Leverhulme. The 90ft long glass fernery lies parallel to the music room from which access can be gained via an interconnecting door. The Bedford Lemere daybook refers to J J Talbot as architect for the music room at Thornton Manor and also references H H Martyn of Cheltenham who were responsible for the oak panelling in the music room.
