Description

The Albany was a block of 69 exclusive residential apartments created in 1802 from the former Georgian mansion, Melbourne House, built in 1770 to the designs of William Chambers. The Albany was named after the Duke of Albany (also titled the Duke of York), who was the former owner of Melbourne House. This photograph was taken for Bedford Lemere and Co itself.
