Description

The bridge shown here was built by John Rennie for the Strand Bridge Company between 1811 and 1817. Declared unsafe in 1924, it was taken down in 1937 and replaced with the current bridge. The Bedford Lemere daybook records that this photograph was taken for Burton, Yeates & Hart Solicitors.
