Description

This photograph focuses on the intricate mosaic decoration of the chancel and apse, designed by J R Clayton of Clayton & Bell, and executed by Burke & Salviatti. The chapel was rebuilt between 1875-1879 by G E Street, but destroyed during WW2 except for Street's apse, and subsequently rebuilt between 1961-1963 by Bruce George of George, Trew & Dunn.
