Description

This office block was designed by architects Mewes & Davis for The Morning Post. The photograph was taken to show the granite work for granite quarry owners and stone merchants, A & F Manuelle. This negative was marked by the company as BL19944/004 and BL19944/005. Although the negative is one image, it seems that when prints were made from the negative they were done as two separate images. BL19944/004 in the Bedford Lemere daybook refers to a detail of the central window, while BL19944/005 refers to a detail of the other windows. The archive object number BL19944A relates to the glass negative.
