Description

This station was built in 1906 as part of the Great Northern Piccadilly and Brompton Railway, and later became part of London's tube network. This photograph was commissioned by the Leeds Fireclay Co, formerly known as Burmantofts Co, who specialised in architectural ceramics and who provided the decorative glazed terracotta for the station's facade.
