Description

Claridges Hotel was established in Brook Street in first half of the 19th century and extended into neighbouring properties during the 1850s. By the 1890s the hotel had been sold to Richard D'Oyly Carte, owner of the Savoy, who set about rebuilding Claridges using a steel structure, clad in red brick.
