Description

Inveresk House, as it was later known, was built to the designs of Mewes and Davis in 1906-07 as the offices of the Morning Post newspaper. The Bedford Lemere daybook records Waring White & YMCA as associated with this photograph. The Waring White Building Company Limited were based in Cockspur Street in 1908. The YMCA had premises close to the site of Inveresk House in Strand.
