Description

The house was built in 1823 by Henry Walker and bought 10 years later by Lord Bexley whose family owned it until 1918. The Bedford Lemere daybook records North Kent Golf Club at the address in 1908 with contemporary maps showing a golf course to the west of the house. Interior decorators, Maple & Co Ltd, are recorded in the architect and designers column of the daybook.
