Description

The Black Lion, which was demolished in 1972, also had an attached billiard hall next door, see BL20247. The photograph was taken for J Keep. Around this date, directories record that a J Keep was a beer, wine and spirit retailer at 160 High Street North and that the publican of the Black Lion was Frederick Keep.
