Description

This building was designed by the architect Joseph Sawyer and built by builders Higgs and Hill in a style intended to harmonise with the existing buildings on the square. It was completed in the summer of 1909, and demolished in the 20th century. The painting is signed 'C W E dett 1908' in the bottom-left corner.
