Description

The town hall was built to the designs of Sir Alfred Brumwell Thomas between 1904 and 1906, to serve the recently created County Borough of Stockport. A note on the reverse of the photograph records that the plasterwork is by Rudd Tanner Limited of Horseferry Road, London.
