Description

The town hall was built to the designs of Sir Alfred Brumwell Thomas between 1904 and 1906, to serve the recently created County Borough of Stockport. Information on the reverse of the photograph records that the plasterwork is by Rudd Tanner Limited of Horseferry Road, London.
