Description

The mausoleum was erected for the German born chemist and industrialist Ludwig Mond (1839-1909). It stands in St Pancras and Islington Cemetery, situated in the London Borough of Barnet, but constructed for and owned by the London Boroughs of St Pancras (now Camden) and Islington - each Borough having its own part of the cemetery. The Bedford Lemere daybook records M E Cannizzaro as architect of the building and Read and McDonald as the client for this image.
