The Bedford Lemere daybook records Faire Brothers, Leicester based manufacturers of cord, laces, elastics etc., as the clients for this photograph. The factory building shown here is recorded as 'Shoe Machinery Factory' on the 1919-1939 O.S. maps. It has now been converted into apartments.
