Description

A sign on one of the cabinets reads 'Reserved for the Royal Archaeological Institute'. The Royal Archaeological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland was one of a number of bodies occupying the premises in 1910. Soon afterwards the building was acquired by the auctioneers Knight, Frank and Rutley as their headquarter offices. Knight, Frank and Rutley commissioned this photograph.
