The house was designed by architect David Brandon for merchant banker Henry F Tiarks and was completed in 1877. This photograph, one of a series, was taken for Henry F Tiarks shortly before he died in 1911, to show works undertaken by the architect Maurice Everett Webb and the construction company Higgs & Hill.
