Description

The building was erected in 1906-8 to a design by Arthur T Bolton, and is an early example of a steel-framed building. Many of the major shipping companies had their headquarter offices in Cockspur Street and its immediate surrounding area with Hamburg-Amerika Linie also being registered at 14-16 Cockspur Street. The photograph was taken for Allan Line.
