Description

The Great Eastern Hotel was built in 1880-1884 by Charles Barry and his son Charles Edward Barry, for the Great Eastern Railway, who commissioned this photograph. The Abercorn Rooms shown here, are part of an extension to the hotel designed by Colonel Robert Edis in 1901.
