Description

This office block was designed by architect Paul Hoffman for the Continental Tyre & Rubber Co. Numbers 1-7 Thurloe Place and numbers 220-244 Brompton Road form part of Empire House, built in stages between 1910-1916, and completed after the demolition in 1915 of The Bell and Horns pub on the corner of Brompton Road with Thurloe Place.
