Description

The Bedford Lemere daybook associates Pilditch and Company with this photograph, possibly a reference to the architect Philip Edward Pilditch who undertook work for the Bedford Estate which includes Exeter Street. Exeter Street borders Covent Garden which is thought to take it's name from a garden belonging to the Abbey or Convent of St Peter.
