Description

The college was founded in 1851 for the training of teachers in Methodist schools. A bomb seriously damaged the college buildings during the Second World War and they were never repaired. The headquarters of the television station Channel 4 now occupy the site. Westminster College relocated to Harcourt Hill, near Oxford in 1959 (now Harcourt Hill Campus and part of Oxford Brookes University). This photograph was commissioned by the Wesleyan Training College.
