The New Theatre opened in 1912. It was renamed the New Queen's Theatre in 1915, and later the Opera House in 1920. The name of fibrous plasterers T R Rudd, John Tanner & Son (London) Ltd, formerly John Tanner & Son, is written on the back of the print associated with this photograph.
