This photograph is from a batch which have the following recorded against them in the notes column of the Bedford Lemere daybook : "These 7 negatives were taken for the purpose of showing the condition of the mantels and doors at that date in case of any future dispute." They were commissioned by May & Rowden, auctioneers, estate agents and valuers.
