Description

This building, dating from 1824-7, was designed by architect Sir Robert Smirke. It was the premises of the Union Club, a gentlemen's club and the Royal College of Physicians. In 1925, alterations were carried out during its conversion to offices for the Canadian Government when it was renamed Canada House. This photograph was taken for The Architectural Review magazine.
