This copy of an original photograph was taken for Orient Steam Navigation Company, the owners of the SS Orvieto which was built in 1909. The steamship carried passengers between England and Australia until it was requisitioned by the Australian government and used as a troopship during the First World War. It was later scrapped in 1931.
