Description

The Picture House opened in 1910, was later renamed Gaumont in 1947 and eventually demolished in 1972. The interior of the cinema was decorated by Guthrie & Wells, Glasgow interior decorators. However, the Bedford Lemere daybook records that this photograph was taken for H H Martyn & Co, architectural decorators and furnishers, who also had a studio in Glasgow.
