Description

Adelaide Buildings was demolished to be replaced by Adelaide House which opened in the mid 1920s. Hoardings posted by the surveyors Dron & Wright seeking tenants for this new building can be seen in the photograph. There is also a board advertising fares for sailings to Southend, Margate and Ramsgate by the General Steam Navigation Company Limited. S Perks, possibly city surveyor Sidney Perks, commissioned the photograph.
