Description

In this photograph Lloyd's Bank, occupied premises at 20 Cornhill. By 1918 (Post Office Directory of London), they had moved into offices at 17 Cornhill, part of the building occupied here by the Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York. Two views were commissioned by Lloyd's Bank -the first shows the upper storeys of the offices (BL22746), the second shows the lower storeys (BL22746A). The intention was to combine the two photographs to show the whole elevation of the buildings.
