The London Shoe Company was founded by Robert Jellinek, who later became the London Director of Bally Shoes of Switzerland. Robert was born in Znojmo, Moravia, grew up in Vienna and emigrated to London in the 1890's. He died in Vienna in 1928.
This building was designed by architect Arthur Owen Breeds with the interior of the shoe shop by Andrew Russell Ltd, interior decorators. The photograph was taken for both the London Shoe Company and Technical Journals.
