Description

The hotel was designed by W C Ansell, and after his death, Henry Tanner junior and F J Wills. The construction of the hotel started in 1912 and it opened in 1915. The photograph is from a batch of six, four of which were commissioned by Leeds Fireclay Company who supplied the 'Burmantofts Marmo' faience cladding on the exterior of the building. This one was taken for the photographers themselves, Bedford Lemere & Company.
