Description

This photograph was commissioned by J C Cording & Co Ltd. Cordings is an outfitting company famous for traditional British outdoors clothing and waterproof garments. Founded in 1839 by John Charles Cording with a shop at 231 Strand, the shop moved to 19 Piccadilly in 1877, where it remains today, with the workroom pictured in this image a short walk away.
