Description

The Francis Holland School, completed in 1915, was designed by architect H T Hare. It is one of two independent girls' schools in London with this name, both run by the Francis Holland Schools' Trust, founded in the late 19th century by Canon Reverend Francis Holland for the education of girls. The school's address was Park Road, later changed to Ivor Place. The photograph was taken for J Carmichael, believed to be James Carmichael, builder.
