Description

Cumberland Terrace was one of ten terraces designed by the prolific Georgian architect John Nash, and was built in 1826-1828. It was named after the King's younger brother, the Duke of Cumberland, and was meant to face the Prince's proposed palace in the park. This photograph was commissioned by a 'Miss Van Brunner', who may have been a resident of the house.
