Description

Furniture manufacturers Waring and Gillow established a reputation for supplying high quality furniture to some of the richest families in the country. During the First World War their factories in Lancaster and London were used for the war effort, producing aircraft components and ammunition cases. This photograph was commissioned by Waring and Gillow.
