Description

Thomas Shaughnessy was made president of the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1899. He was created First Baron Shaughnessy on 01 January 1916 in recognition of the Canadian Pacific Railway's contribution to the war effort. The photograph was commissioned by the railway company.
