Description

The rectory dates from 1828 and is also known as St Mary's Rectory, as it is associated with the nearby Church of St Mary. The Bedford Lemere daybook records that the photograph was taken for a 'Mr Gage Gardiner' or 'Mr George Gardiner'; the handwriting is ambiguous.
