Description

In the medieval period a prebend was a portion of the revenues of a cathedral or collegiate college, given as a stipend to a member of the chapter. This photograph was taken for the estate agents Daniel Smith, Oakley and Garrad and Miss Hinds, owner of Prebendal House. The Bedford Lemere daybook records that the house was restored by architect Oswald P Milne.
