Description

The Bedford Lemere daybook records this site as the "Twickenham Power Station", possibly a reference to Hamilton Electricity Works, established by the Twickenham & Teddington Electrical Supply Company to the west of Talbot Road. The photograph was taken for Dick, Kerr and Company, a locomotive, tramcar and electrical equipment manufacturer based in Kilmarnock, Scotland and Preston, England.
