The SS Minnedosa was a steamship ocean liner built in 1918. The photograph was taken for J Stone & Company Limited, a firm of marine, railway and general engineers. The company patented a system of hydraulically operated water-tight doors as described on the small plaque mounted behind the machinery in this image.
