Description

A plaque above the shop sign records that 'This house is the original meeting house used by William Penn Quaker and founder of Pennsylvania before his imprisonment in the tower for his religious opinions. Born 1644. Died 1718'. The photograph was taken for the English Speaking Union, founded in 1918.
