Description
The Palace Pier at St Leonards was built between 1881 and 1891 at a cost of £30,000, and measured 960 feet in length. It was designed by R St George-Moore, with the north pavilion designed by F H Humphries. The pier was demolished in 1951after sustaining damage in rough weather. This photograph was commissioned by John Henry Gardner who purchased the pier in 1917.
