Hillingdon Court was built between 1854 and 1858 by the architect Philip Charles Hardwick, for Sir Charles Mills. In 1919 the estate was put up for sale, and this set of photographs, taken for the auctioneers Smith, Oakley and Garrard, were commissioned by the auctioneers for use in the sales catalogue.
