Description
The photograph was commissioned by J Lyons & Co who had a Lyons Corner House at 7-9 Coventry Street. At about the time the photograph was taken the building was extended to include numbers 7-14 Coventry Street. The staircase is believed to have been exposed during the demolition of a building in Arundel Street (to the rear) making way for the new extension.
