The Bedford Lemere daybook does not record the exact location of this shop, noting on that it may have been at Piccadilly Circus. No reference to a Scholl Manufacturing premises can be found at this location. The daybook also does not record the client that this photograph was commissioned by. Scholl Manufacturing had premises at 1-4 Giltspur Street and 8 Cheapside in London, but the location of this photograph is not recorded. It is more likely that a shop premises would have been at the Cheapside site, and may have been demolished with redevelopment of the St Paul's Church Yard area.
