Description

Poles was a country house built between 1890-1 by Ernest George and Peto. The house was used as convent between 1923-1985 and later became a hotel. Bedford Lemere & Co have labelled this negative as 'sitting room', however when the house has subsequently been listed it's use appears to have changed to that of a dining room.
